What is PRP?
PRP has become famously known worldwide as the “Vampire Facial”. This is a treatment where we use your own blood to stimulate collagen production. This is done by extracting your bodies own growth factors and injecting them with a specialized device into the tissue.
How is it performed?
In order to use your own growth factors present in your blood, we draw blood from the forearm and spin it down in a centrifuge. The growth factors are then separated from the red blood cells and can be used to stimulate tissue regeneration.
What areas of concern can be treated?
PRP treatments are most commonly used in the face for acne scarring, as well as to stimulate the production of collagen. It has also become a very popular treatment for hair loss and hair restoration. The body can be treated in the same way the face and scalp can, typically to improve surgical scarring and stretch marks.

Is it painful and is there any downtime?
The treatment is not painful. Most patients report none to mild discomfort during treatment, this is because we use a topical numbing cream prior to injection. There is also no downtime post PRP. We don’t recommend taking blood thinners such as ibuprofen or aspirin prior to unless medically needed, as this can result in thinning of the blood which can cause mild to severe bruising.
Combined PRP
Because of our specialized delivery system, we can also combine your growth factors with a hyaluronic acid based dermal filler. This can help to soften fine lines and provide hydration to the skin on top of giving you all the other benefits associated with PRP.
